We made our very own taonga (treasure) We looked online to see what taonga looked like and what they meant. Whaea Donna also explained what her taonga means and how special it is to her. Traditionally these pendants are made from bone, pounamu or wood - we made ours from air dry clay. When they were dry we painted them and after they were photographed we wrapped them up and took them home. Some people gifted theirs to family and some wore them to school. The look really awesome!
